(Don't) Get Off Your Phone!!!
Okk, alright, I'm going to be biased about this. I'm not gonna be saying what looks good or pleasing to people's eyes. Phones have been helpful to me ever since I received one. How? Well, phones didn't make my communication with friends worse since we use it to communicate or plan out events on where we can meet up and hang out, which shows that we communicate through phones and by actually hanging out with each other. It has mostly benefitted me when it came to communications with other people. If anything, it made it a lot better. It's like being there for them when I'm really not. What about if they're across the country? We won't be able to communicate without our phones. I don't mean that I depend on it so much that I use it and never talk to anyone in person, I use it to establish communication with someone in order to see them for more communication, since I'm not about to waste 2 tickets and my time and energy just so I could ask a person to hang out when I can just text them. I have to admit, people depend on phones way more, but it's because of the things it brings. Being able to talk without actually needing to meet up with them to plan something out, you could've planned it out if you texted them and did the thing you were planning for at the same time.
When it comes to school, it unfortunately is a distraction, I admit that, but only if it's misused. I use it for texting, snap chatting, Instagram, Twitter, but most importantly, I use it when I need to search something up. This shows that we become more dependent on phones and other electronics, only because of the benefits it gives us. I remember when the school board blocked Facebook. That wasn't really a big deal since who uses Facebook other than parents who want to brag about the place they recently went to or luxurious food that they recently ate. To me, it has helped me more than it became a problem to me. It helps me communicate more, it helps me if I'm bored, and most importantly, it helps me with my school work. Sometimes.
